FAMILY SOCIAL WORKER
North Canterbury
Fixed Term to June 2023

40 hours per week

Community Wellbeing North Canterbury Trust provides a range of free services for young people and families across the Waimakariri and Hurunui Districts.

We are seeking a registered Social Worker to join our team in providing home-based support for families and children facing complex challenges. The focus is to provide positive strategies and practical support to parents, children, and young people. Working closely with our existing team and outside agencies to facilitate good outcomes for our clients.

The successful candidate will have the following attributes:

• Registered Social Worker with minimum 2 years’ experience
• Demonstrated experience working successfully in the community and a strong knowledge of the range of issues influencing family dynamics.
• Sound knowledge of relevant community networks and resources including those important to Māori and Pasifika whānau.
• Demonstrated experience in liaising with other stakeholder groups and other relevant community agencies.

WELLBEING CO-ORDINATOR
North Canterbury

We are seeking a registered Social Worker, Nurse, Psychologist or Occupational Therapist to join our team in providing community-based resources, and practical support for whānau parents and rangatahi. The role involves working closely with our existing team and outside agencies to facilitate good outcomes for our community.

The successful candidate will have the following attributes:
• Registered Social Worker, Psychologist or Occupational Therapist with minimum 2 years’ experience
• Demonstrated experience working alongside diversity.
• Strong knowledge of the range of challenges facing rural communities.
• Sound knowledge of relevant community networks and resources including those important to Māori and Pasifika whānau.
• Demonstrated experience in positive liaison with local stakeholder’s groups and community agencies.
