Ringawera – Karanga Mai ELC
Permanent – 7-8 hours per week
(3-4 hours per day, 2-3 days per week during school hours)

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our ringawera team at Karanga Mai Early Learning Centre. We are looking for someone who is passionate and committed to ensuring that our pēpi and Tamariki receive healthy and nutritious kai fuelling their minds and bodies.We are a tight-knit team committed to the philosophy that Kai is Life, and we believe a positive difference can be made through nourishing food.
Located on the Kaiapoi High School grounds, adjacent to Karanga Mai Young Parents College, our vision at Karanga Mai Early Learning Centre is to be learning community where our tamariki and whānau feel a sense of ukaipō and are nurtured to walk confidently in te ao Māori and te ao Pākehā. Through whanaungatanga, aroha, and manaakitanga we strive to be a whānau where our tamariki recognise their talents, know they are important, engender pride, unity, and belonging.
IDEAL PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
- Is passionate and committed to ensuring pēpi and tamariki receive healthy and nutritious kai, fuelling their minds and bodies
- Has experience and enjoys creating delicious food
- Able to demonstrate professional behaviour and promote positive relationships with our Karanga Mai ELC and Young Parent College tamariki, kaiako and whānau
- Excellent time management skills
- Able to maintain safe and hygienic food practices, including understanding the importance of food allergies
- Flexible and agile to meet the demands of the role.
- A current, full Drivers Licence is an advantage
